Tailor your resume to a job description, without making anything up
Paste your resume and the job post. fastcv's AI rewrites your summary, bullets and skills in the job's own words, using only what's already true, shows your match before and after, and tells you plainly what you can't claim.
How it works
- step 01
Start with your resume
Upload a PDF, Word or LaTeX file, pick a saved one, or build one in about five minutes.
- step 02
Paste the job post
See your free match right away: what the job asks for that your resume shows, and what it doesn't.
- step 03
Choose Honest or Aggressive
Light rewording, or every truthful lever pulled toward a 90%+ match.
- step 04
Review and download
Accept, skip or edit each change, add proof for what you've done but never wrote, and download the PDF.
Honest or Aggressive
Honest
Rewords only where your resume already says what the job wants. Light touch, your voice kept. Best when you already fit the job well.
Aggressive
Rewrites every bullet, the headline, summary and skills line in the job's words and aims for a 90%+ match. Tells you first if 90% isn't reachable with what's true, and what's missing.
Picked Honest and want more? Switch to Aggressive for the same job at no extra charge.
An example
A sample resume tailored to a backend payments job.
one bullet, same facts, the job's words
Moved 14 old cron jobs over to a queue setup, which saved around ₹3.1L a month.
Moved 14 cron jobs onto event-driven processing with message queues, saving ₹3.1L/month.
What it won't do
- Invent employers, titles, dates, tools, numbers or results.
- Drop the specifics you earned: a rewrite that loses a number or tool is flagged.
- Paper over gaps: what the job asks for and your resume can't back up is listed as “can't claim”.
- Change anything without you: you accept, skip or edit each change.

Questions
Will the AI make things up?
No. It only rewords what's on your resume: no new employers, titles, dates, tools, numbers or results. If a rewrite adds a tool or number your resume doesn't show, it's flagged and left out of "Accept all", and anything the job asks for that your resume can't back up goes on a "can't claim" list.
Is tailoring a resume with AI cheating?
Every fact is yours and you approve each change. It's like asking a friend to edit with the job post open: the same work, said in the words the employer used.
What's the difference between Honest and Aggressive?
Honest rewords only where your resume already says what the job wants, with a light touch. Aggressive rewrites every bullet, the headline, summary and skills line in the job's words, aims for a 90%+ match, and tells you first if 90% isn't reachable with what's true. Neither invents anything.
Does it help with ATS screening?
It puts the job's own words where your work already shows them, which is what keyword-based screening reads. The resume itself is Jake's Resume: one column, plain text, standard headings, which parses cleanly.
How long does it take?
About 30 to 40 seconds for Honest and about a minute for Aggressive. Then you review the changes, accept, skip or edit each one, and download the PDF.
Do you keep my resume or the job post?
The job post isn't stored. Your resume is saved only as a CV in your browser, or in your account if you sign in, and you can delete it any time. Your name, email, phone and links are left out of what's sent to the AI.
